This film is a meditative piece about maintaining a connection to nature while living in urbanized environments, and was created for the Nikon Film Festival in 2009.

For the score, the director (Malachi Rempen) and I wanted to create an air of melancholy while not allowing the music to become overly depressing. The pared down instrumentation (solo piano) mirrors the singular character of the film, and also connects to the idea of something "natural", unprocessed, and pure.
